The Paperbag Waist – A Trend You Need To Be Rocking

I think it’s safe to say that the long weekend of drinking, partying and relaxing has surely knocked me off my productivity game… oops! Oh well! I’ve been trying to stick to a strict MWF blog posting schedule, but this week will just have to be a little bit wonky. Enough rambling, let’s get into the post!
Another trend that I love this season is that of the paperbag waist. Whether it’s a skirt, pants or shorts, it’s crazy popular and extremely flattering. Here, I’ve paired a pair of paperbag shorts with a twist-front crop top and a pair of paperbag wide-leg pants with a detailed white tee and some bold mules. Here is another example of how I styled a pair of slim-leg paperbag pants! My favorite way to style them – with a tee or tank, tucked in and some stand out accessories. I love that there are so many varieties of the paperbag waist, making it the perfect fit for anyone. If you’re a curvy girl like myself, or even if you aren’t, the tie at the waist accentuates your figures creating a beautiful silhouette. Another plus is how the tie instantly takes the outfit to another level! Want to take it up another notch? Swap out the original tie for a patterned scarf, a bold colored belt/scarf or your favorite classic go-to belt. There are so many options when it comes to styling a paperbag waist bottom. A few of my favorites: with a smocked crop top, with a loose button down, with a lace cami and a blazer, with a body suit, with an off the shoulder top, and topped with the best jackets. Don’t forget to add some jewelry, bold shoes and a fun bag. Whether you’re going to work and you need a next-level, sexy yet boss babe outfit, or you’re heading out for a day or night with your girls, the paperbag waist is the perfect choice.

A few outfit ideas:
– slim-leg paperbag pants with an off the shoulder crop top, old skool vans, black sunglasses and a distressed denim jacket
– wide-leg paperbag pants with a fitted body suit, a dainty necklace and a pair of block heels
– slim_leg paperbag pants with a lace bralette layered under a lace cami, paired with a boyfriend-fit blazer and bold stilettos
– paperbag shorts with a strapless body suit, paired with sneakers or lace-up sandals, a bold necklace and some stylish shades
