R+Co Gemstone Color Shampoo & Conditioner: $24 each, 8.5 oz – I’m never one to like a shampoo and conditioner sample because the amount that they send is always too little for my hair. Well, while the sample size was still a little small, I fell in love with this shampoo and conditioner. Obsessed, absolutely obsessed! I used it this morning and my hair was so soft, so smooth and held up well in the heat and humidity. I’ll be purchasing these for sure, no matter the price tag!
Avène Clearance Expert: $26 for 1.35 oz – I’ve received products from this brand before, and honestly, I’ve never been crazy impressed. They’re never in English on the package, from what I’ve seen, and it’s just too much effort to go and look it up! It took me forever to figure out that this was a primer. It claims to help your makeup stay throughout the day while also treating the skin. Because I’m one that needs her makeup to stay for twelve hours or more, I stick to my tried-and-true primers!
Pūrlisse BB Tinted Moist Cream SPF 30: $35 for 1.4 oz – Ever since I’ve got really into makeup I’ve been all about the medium to full-coverage foundations. I can’t remember the last time that I wore a BB cream and it used to be my ride or die product! This tint was a little too dark for me and not what I’m looking for right now. Also, if I’m going to wear a BB cream I’m going to reach for my Maybelline one that is more than affordable.
Marcelle 3-in-1 Micellar Gel Eye Makeup Remover: $16 for 3.3 oz – While the product did the job, I’m going to stick to my more affordable option of makeup wipes. It’s very rare that I ever wear just eye makeup so when I do, I just use a basic eye makeup remover solution that I have. I’ll continue to use the sample but I won’t be purchasing, it would just be an unnecessary step in my already too long skincare routine.
English Laundry Oxford Bleu Femme Eau de Parfum: $70 for 1.7 oz – I’m not an expensive perfume person. I have a few from years ago that I keep on display. But other than that, I stick to body sprays. I’ve changed my preferences in hope that they will stop sending me perfume, but it’s not helping! This one smells great, but I’m not going to spend my money on something like this or probably ever really use the sample.
Beautaniq Beauty Blush Serum: $16 for 10 ml – When I saw this product I was really excited because of the packing alone. I love products like this that are basically a two-in-one but I’ve never had one really work for me. I tried this on top of my foundation before putting on any powder and I really liked it. I put a little product on my finger and stippled it onto my cheek bones and blended it out with my fingers before going back over it with a beauty blender. I received the bright pink shade ‘Sunrise’ and it’s very pigmented! I think it’s perfect to wear on a day when you want some color but don’t feel like doing the works or as a blush base to keep the color all day long! The sample is a pretty generous size, especially since you barely use any, so I may not have to repurchase!
treStiQue Mini Crayon Concealer: $26 – I’ve received a lot of products from this brand and I’ve always been pretty impressed! This concealer is a thicker formula so it’s best for covers spots rather than the under eye area.
Seraphine Botanicals Ginger + Gold Blush: $14 – I thought I had never tried this brand before but after more research, come to find out, I was sent one of their blushes recently. This product is so pigmented and beautiful. Personally, I used a little bit as a blush topper on each cheek instead of blush itself. It would be perfect if you were just wearing a BB cream or going with no foundation!
Chella Eyebrow Cream: $26 – I’m just going to be honest, I hated this product. I think they are trying to copy one of Benefit brow products that has a brush and a dip pot but I couldn’t even use it. The brush is too think and flimsy. The product is too dark and when I put it on my hand it was really chalky. I hate it, but I threw it away. There just isn’t a way it’s going to work on my brows!
AHAVA Mineral Hand Cream: $24 for 3.4 oz – I always have a hand cream with me wherever I go. Personally, I wouldn’t go and spend this much on a hand cream. I’m either receiving them in subscriptions for getting them for cheap! It’s a generous sample size and I’ve started to keep it in my work bag!
OFRA Shimmer Eye Shadow Pan: $12, shade ‘Gold Rush’ –I feel like I’ve received this sample way too many times. While it’s a great shadow, has amazing pigment, but I’ve got so many similar options that were a lot cheaper!
